Monoculture Meltdown is a long-term project advocating for the recognition of less water-dependent seeds as central to future agricultures, cultural continuity, and intergenerational rights. It brings together agroecology, legal advocacy, and contemporary art to support a transition to food systems with fewer water dependencies.

The project advances promiscuous genealogies: forms of seed exchange that allow phenotypes to express freely, resisting standardisation and uniformity regimes. Challenging the unregistered origins of peasant seeds, the Station collaborates with museums and cultural institutions to establish new forms of provenance for drought-resistant varieties. In parallel, it works with legal scholars to cultivate the rights of and to seeds within shifting ecological and juridical frameworks.
